Careers, Life, and Yale Thursday Show: Parenting Special Needs Children

Eraina is a marketing and communications manager for an EDTech Company, TEDx Curator, and a special needs advocate. Her memoir “My Good Life,” was featured as Thrive Global Must Reads in 2020. Her recent monologue, “Listen to Her,” was read by actress Marla Gibbs and featured at the WACO Theatre’s 50in50 event. She has been featured on CNBC, NBC Universal, AfroTech, LA Parents Magazine, Black Enterprise, and the LA Times. She is currently a YAA at-large delegate and YAA social media Eli Ambassador. Eraina lives in North Carolina with her husband and children.

Tami is a lifetime advocate and changemaker for people with visible and invisible disabilities and their families. As an undergraduate, Tami worked to raise awareness for causes connected to people with disabilities on campus and beyond. She then continued her work as a journalist at NBC News, Nightly News, Dateline NBC, and MSNBC’s Headliners and Legends. Tami is a Disability, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Consultant, as well as a speaker and writer. Her work was featured in 201 Magazine. Tami’s focus is always on making sure that people with disabilities have a “seat at the table,” even when the table may need some accessibility tweaks. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and children.
