Melia Bernal graduated in 2017 from Silliman College with a BA in History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health. She is currently back at Yale pursuing an MPH in Health Policy and MSN in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. Melia began dancing bhangra with Yale Jashan Bhangra her first year at Yale and continued throughout her time there, serving one year as co-captain and dancing in various bhangra competitions and performances. Since then, she has danced and competed with New England Bhangra Club in Boston, MA and co-founded BTFB, a small bhangra group also in Boston that has performed at numerous events throughout New England.
