The project will include planting native species in habitat restoration areas, as well as removing invasive plants and protecting trees from deer browse and beaver chew.

      What to Bring:

      • We will have clippers, shears, gloves, and other tools available, but if you prefer your own feel free to bring them!
      • Since it can be muddy, we recommend wearing long pants, long sleeves, boots, and gloves!

Directions: The project will take place in Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve in Princeton, NJ.   We will likely meet in the parking lot by Mountain Avenue but we will confirm closer to the date exact meeting place.

We are still in discussion with our contacts there, but we would be involved with helping care for a rain garden (rain gardens ensure that polluted road run-off during rainstorms won't end up in the ocean) OR helping to count horseshoe crabs. Preparation needs will depend on the specific project, but it will involve physical activity and will be open to all ages. Regardless of site, parking will be available. false
