We are still in discussion with our contacts there, but we would be involved with helping care for a rain garden (rain gardens ensure that polluted road run-off during rainstorms won't end up in the ocean) OR helping to count horseshoe crabs. Preparation needs will depend on the specific project, but it will involve physical activity and will be open to all ages. Regardless of site, parking will be available. false

  Add to Calendar 2024-05-11T10:00:00 2024-05-11T12:00:00 America/New_York Yale Day of Service: NJ, Mahwah - Bergen County Horse Rescue Event Schedule 10 am - noon, Spring Clean Up, with Talk and Tour by a representative of the Rescue @ Bergen County Horse Rescue, 350 Ramapo Valley Rd, Mahwah, NJ 07430 (Please note, you will be able to say "hello" to the horses, but there will be NO riding them - this is after all a rescue!) Clean up includes: • Landscaping • Weeding along fence line and garden areas • Cleaning Windows • Clearing Stones - The Rescue has it's own "mucking" team, so no worries about shoveling any....
