We are still in discussion with our contacts there, but we would be involved with helping care for a rain garden (rain gardens ensure that polluted road run-off during rainstorms won't end up in the ocean) OR helping to count horseshoe crabs. Preparation needs will depend on the specific project, but it will involve physical activity and will be open to all ages. Regardless of site, parking will be available. false

Clean up includes: • Landscaping • Weeding along fence line and garden areas • Cleaning Windows • Clearing Stones - The Rescue has it's own "mucking" team, so no worries about shoveling any....       Add to Calendar 2025-05-10T08:30:00 2025-05-10T12:00:00 America/New_York Yale Day of Service: NJ, West Orange - Thomas Edison National Historical Park Clean-up The 2025 YCCNJ Yale Day of Service at the Thomas Edison National Historical Park (211 Main Street, West Orange, NJ 07052) will be on Saturday, May 10th. We will be working on the grounds of Edison's Glenmont Estate cleaning up/pruning/removing dead bushes. It is rain or shine so please check the weather and dress accordingly. Bring work gloves and reusable water containers. Parental consent forms are needed for those under 18. Coffee/donuts will be provided starting around 8:30 in the parking lot across from the 211 Main Street entrance. We expect to drive from the parking lot to the estate to start work around 9am.
