Hosted by the YAA, join us for conversation and libations. This event is free to attend, but we kindly ask that you register in advance. 

Cultural heritage sites, museums, libraries, and collections are vital to our interpretation of the past, our understanding of our place in the world, and our appreciation of the rich diversity of the human experience. Technological innovations are enabling breakthroughs in conservation, facilitating greater access to collections, and uncovering previously unrecognized connections.

Join us for an enlightening exploration of groundbreaking work being done at Yale and beyond to preserve the world’s treasures while achieving greater democratization in the management of collections, thereby opening them up to a wider audience, inviting diverse viewpoints, and reshaping the future of cultural institutions.

Hosted by the YAA, join us for libations and conversation. This is a free event but we kindly request registration in advance.

Meet at 10:30 a.m. at The Perch Cafe on the Trinity Campus for a quick pastry, tea, or coffee before walking over to the Book of Kells for an 11:30 a.m. entry.

$10 per person, includes tour ticket and optional mid-morning tea.

Please join Yale Chicago to volunteer at Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry)!

• Unload and sort through donations of food arriving at the warehouse.
• Inventory items and put them away.
• Pull orders to be sent to the other pantry locations and load them into the vans.
• Additional warehouse support tasks as needed.

Closed-toed shoes are required. Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing - something that can get a little messy. Gloves provided on site. Additional FAQ's available online.

Children ages 9 and older are welcome. Please review the guidelines for minors.

Registration is first-come, first-served, with an event capacity of 15 volunteers. Please register directly with Nourishing Hope by following the instructions on the Events page of yalechicago.org.

Join two Yale Trailblazers Maritza Guzman & Yuet Chu TD ‘87 for an afternoon gathering of Yalies alumni & students, who share similar experiences being among the first or second in their families to be college graduates and many from low-income backgrounds. Yalies from all schools and degree programs are welcome!  

During this convening, which will include a reception, keynote address, facilitated panel presentation and group discussion, Black Yale alum will focus on how to collaborate to support our community, effectively navigate the greater Yale community and collectively serve the greater Black community.
