Huang has served as an alumni interviewer and in various roles at the Yale Club of Oregon & Southwest Washington — as a board member, as chair of its community service committee, and as president. As a Yale alumni volunteer, Huang has produced, moderated and spoken during multiple in-person and virtual Yale alumni events. In 2017, she helped create the Yale Alumni Facebook Group, now with over 22,500 members around the world, for which she serves as one of the moderators; the group's administrators received a Board of Governors Leadership Award in 2019. She particularly enjoys mentoring Yale students and young alumni.
