Biography
Massimo Lapucci is CEO (Secretary General) of CRT Foundation, a foundation of banking origin with an endowment of about three billion euro. He is also Secretary General of 'Development and Growth Foundation” a CRT subsidiary foundation focused primarily on impact investing, tech and innovation.
Massimo is Chairman of the European Foundation Centre in Bruxelles, the network of institutional philanthropy, which unites over 300 members from nearly 40 countries, including the USA.
He is also Managing Director of OGR, a former large industrial building (about 360k ft2) in Turin recently reconverted into an innovative and experimental center for contemporary culture, art, research and start-up in partnership with US accelerators.
Massimo has extensive international experience as a board member for public and private companies in various sectors (e.g. banking, infrastructures, media) and nonprofit organizations in the EU and the Americas, including the advisory board of the London School of Economics – Marshall Institute and the ISI Foundation for big data in Turin and ISI Global in New York. Massimo is also VP of the Social Impact Agenda for Italy.
Prior to taking up his current position with the CRT Foundation, Massimo Lapucci was Investment Director for ‘Sintonia S.A.’ a holding company based in Luxembourg focused on infrastructure assets, including motorways, airports and telecommunications.
Previously, Massimo was senior vice president for strategic planning and mergers & acquisitions for ‘Ferrovie dello Stato’, the holding company which includes the Italian railways and logistics. Massimo has also a consolidated teaching experience at university level.
