Planning for our 55th Reunion next Spring (Thursday, May 30 to Sunday, June 2, 2019) is well underway.
We’ll be based in Pierson College and promise a full and exciting program. About 160 classmates are expected to attend, some of whom you’ll reconnect with and others that you’ll meet for the first time. We’ll sing and laugh together, and relive our “Bright College Years.”
In addition to lectures, the reunion program features the chance to participate and interact on subjects that interest you. Our reunion will begin on Thursday afternoon with a Yale ’64 panel discussion. On Friday and Saturday mornings there will be the usual offering of talks by Yale faculty that are always so informative and entertaining.
Friday afternoon features class sponsored “Conversations” in small groups on a variety of topics, each with a facilitator. You will be able to choose a topic of interest and rather than sit and listen you can sit and talk!
Our Memorial Service will take place later on Friday afternoon. Saturday afternoon will be a continuation of the popular Kaleidoscope of Passions from our last reunion where classmates share their passions.
Come as you are!
In the past classmates have shed a few pounds or added a little color for reunions. This year we invite you to come as you are. We are at interesting points in our lives, and have lots to both celebrate and commiserate. The attire for all our class events is casual. No need to pack a coat and tie or a cocktail dress, unless, of course, you want to.
Reunion registration will officially open next spring. In the meantime, please use the tab at left to pre-register and let your classmates know whether or not you anticipate attending.
If you choose not to stay in Pierson College, we recommend that you reserve a room in one of the downtown New Haven hotels where the YAA has room blocks. These blocks will open at noon EST on November 1 and will quickly sell out. Plan to visit this site on that day to get the link to reserve your room. If you want to stay in Pierson College, you may reserve your bed(s) when you register for the reunion in the Spring.
Golfers will want to come a day early for a shotgun tee off at the Yale Course at noon on Wednesday, May 29.
Surviving Partners | Financial Aid
Surviving partners are welcome as guests of the class and will pay no reunion or campus housing fees for themselves or their guests. Financial assistance for classmates is also available on a confidential basis for all classmates. Financial details will be forthcoming early in 2019.
We hope you will attend the full reunion and, at completion, even be moved to proclaim, “This was the best reunion ever!”
