    • Residential College Open Houses

      May 26
      9:30AM – 10:30AM

      Staff will be on hand to host visits from alumni to their residential college (except for Benjamin Franklin and Pauli Murray – see Saturday “Morning at Yale”). Access will be limited to the courtyard, but there will be plenty to see!

      Battell Chapel — 400 College Street

      Join Yale’s ecumenical Christian community for Sunday worship, which will include prayers for alumni who have died, a sermon by The Rev. Heather VanDeventer ‘94, and wonderful music and liturgy. Rev. VanDeventer graduated from Yale and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and served at Episcopal Churches in Alexandria, VA and Wilmette, IL before assuming the Deanship in 2018.

      A self-guided tour at the Mead Visitor Center for families with children ages 6-11, with clues to fascinating architectural and sculptural details on campus. Also available on Saturday & Sunday, 11 am - 4 pm.

Our family guides are designed to be used in the gallery spaces to help you look more closely at art and to enjoy your time together in the museum. Please come and try one or all three.

      Guide for Families—a booklet of activities for families to use in the museum
      Self-Guided Architecture Activity—a guide to the Kahn building. Designed for kids ages 8-12
      Felt and Yarn Kit—a take home kit that includes felt, yarn, and a small booklet. Encourages young people to look closely at art and make their own artwork using felt and yarn.
