Each year, Yale alumni elect one fellow of the Yale Board of Trustees. While nominations for alumni fellow are open year-round, the deadline for consideration for this election cycle is September 10. Voting on the slate of candidates will be conducted in the spring.

The opening frame to the 2019 Yale Day of Service video spotlighting Boston

Yale Day of Service 2019 featured hundreds of service projects around the world in 15 countries and nearly all 50 states. This year’s theme, “Think Globally, Act Locally” speaks to the impact that local projects can have beyond the time and place they occur.

2019 Yale Medal recipients Scott R. Williamson ’80, Nancy Marx Better ’84, John Walsh ’61, Caroline Hsiao Van ’79, and William H. Donaldson ’53.

The Yale Medal is the highest honor presented by the Yale Alumni Association, awarded annually to members of the Yale family for their individual service to the university. In November, five more deserving alumni will join the ranks of those so honored.

Sterling Professor of Political Science Ian Shapiro

The Devane Lectures is returning to campus this semester and will be taught by Sterling Professor of Political Science Ian Shapiro. The class, entitled "Power and Politics in Today's World," is free and open to alumni.
