Project C.U.R.E was founded in 1987 and started its Nashville operation in 1999. This not-for-profit organization is the world’s largest distributor of donated equipment, medical supplies, and services to doctors and nurses in over 130 countries including recent donations to Ukraine. We will assist this great host to sort and package medical supplies for transferring these much-needed medical supplies to overseas countries in need. No prior experience is needed as the host will provide information before we all start the event. Everyone including Yale alumni members, their friends, and family members are cordially invited.
Notes from the Host:
Clothing: Please wear closed-toed shoes. We also highly recommend that individuals wear comfortable clothes (for bending, kneeling, lifting, etc.). Note that work may be done in the warehouse, which is not climate controlled, or in the sorting room, which is climate controlled.
Orientation: Project C.U.R.E. will first conduct a brief orientation and training for any new volunteers before starting our tasks for the day.
COVID-19: The safety of our volunteers and staff is our top priority. We are taking all possible precautions. During your volunteer time, we will be following CDC recommendations, social distancing guidelines when appropriate. We ask that all non-vaccinated volunteers wear a mask, and, although it is not required, we do encourage all members of large groups to mask as well. Where required, you may bring your own mask, or a disposable mask will be provided. Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer throughout your volunteer session. Please do not come volunteer if you are feeling ill or have been in contact with someone feeling ill. Your support in maintaining a safe facility is tremendously appreciated!
