YJ retired as partner from the international law firm of Milbank LLP where he spent his entire professional career, at its offices in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Seoul, advising on cross-border project development and financing, and M&A transactions, focusing on the energy, infrastructure, natural resources, semiconductor, aviation, telecommunication sectors.
Outside of his law practice, YJ has served as Chair of the Asian University for Women (AUW) Support Foundation for over ten years and on the board of Asia Society Korea Center. He has also served as President of Yale Club of Korea. He currently serves on the boards of the Korean Bar Association Human Rights Foundation, Gonggam Human Rights Law Foundation, Asia Society Korea Center, and Yale Alumni Association (YAA) Board of Governors, as well as serving as President of the Harvard Club of Korea.
