Welcome Class of 1965!
Dear Classmates and Friends:
Plan to be in New Haven May 28th–31st for our 55th Reunion. Reunions are a great time to maintain contact with old friends and strengthen ties with fellow classmates and their widows, a group of which will be joining us this year. Tell us your plans by clicking on the "Let Us Know You're Coming" tab at left.
Working with the YAA, we will have a full program of events to keep you interested and involved. The YAA’s “Morning at Yale” sessions will provide us access to some of Yale’s top professors, experts in their respective fields. Our own “Passions & Pursuits” presentation will return for an encore, and we’ll also have a Joint Panel Discussion with the Class of 1970, celebrating its 50th. Perhaps no two Yale Classes, only five years apart, differ more when it comes to the generational issues of our times. And of course, evenings under the tent will conclude each day’s activities with camaraderie and reflection.
We’ll be assigned to Timothy Dwight College, and the YAA will run an effective shuttle service about every 15 minutes from that location to and from the various hotels and other campus locations. On that score, the YAA blocked rooms for reunion attendees at several area hotels, but those are now sold out. (Please see this page for more hotel options.) Accommodations will be available in Timothy Dwight for those so inclined, and you may book a room at TD in March when you register to attend. If you have any special room requests, please reach out to the YAA at any time (email@example.com; 203-432-2110.)
Financial assistance is also available to all classmates on a strictly confidential basis. Please look for more information in the spring.
Information about registration will be emailed to you in March, but for now please go let us know that you are coming and consult the site frequently as we add more reunion details. Another source of information is our class website, www.yale65.org. Talk to your friends and encourage them to attend as well.
See you in May in New Haven!
