Five Distinguished Alumni to Receive 2019 Yale Medal

The Yale Medal is the highest honor presented by the Yale Alumni Association, awarded annually to members of the Yale family for their individual service to the university. In November, five more deserving alumni will join the ranks of those so honored.

For many, the turn of the calendar from June to July means summer holidays. But for the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors, it is the start of a new academic year, replete with a new slate of executive officers and eight new board members.


Organized by 1stGenYale, in partnership with the Yale Dean's Office and Yale Summer Session, this event welcomes 72 incoming first-year students from under-resourced backgrounds, providing early access to Yale’s opportunities and resources, including alumni.
