The Yale Club of Shanghai is collaborating with Buy42 to organize Yale Day of Service in Shanghai this year. Buy42 is the first O2O charity shop in China and is committed to creating a charity ecosystem in community based on charity shop. Buy42 believes that "everyone has value" and encourages people to donate their idle items for charity sales. The proceeds from charity sales are used to provide sustainable and dignified jobs for disabled people. In addition, Buy42 creates a public charity space for everyone to participate in. It hopes that charity would become the new lifestyle for everyone

*We sincerely invite our alumni to bring your family members and friends to participate in the seed box DIY workshop. You can learn about the concept of eco-friendly supermarket, create seed box with unique design, and donate idle items to the charity shop. The flower pot in the seed box is made of sugar cane pulp, which is biodegradable and can be doodled on. The box also contains four types of seeds, so that you can experience the fun of creating and planting at the same time.
      * Capacity limit: 40 people at max.
      * To sign up for the event, please contact Abby Hu '16 directly. Detailed event, parking or transportation information will be provided after the sign-up

The Miconia, an endemic shrub found only in the highlands of Santa Cruze and San Cristobal Islands, is an endangered species and considered by scientists to be facing a high risk of extinction in the wild. This opportunity allows us to contribute to the survival of the Miconia with our time, hands, and good will. Be sure to register in advance to join this Yale DOS tree planting, because Rob Greenly will need to provide your name to the Royal Palm Hotel Galapagos security.
