Yale Day of Service: CO, Broomfield - Cost-Free Self-Shop Food Marketplace
The mission of Broomfield FISH is to meet our neighbors’ basic human needs and provide them with hope and tools to rise out of poverty. FISH is a nonprofit organization that provides food, emergency financial assistance, and one-on-one mentoring support to Broomfield residents in need. In 2022, FISH provided more than 1.4 million pounds of food to 12,500+ unique people, 53% of whom were under the age of 18.
After a brief orientation, our group of up to 10 Yale alumni volunteers will work in the cost-free, self-shop marketplace and warehouse sorting donations, stocking shelves, and repackaging bulk items. Please wear closed-toed shoes. Masks are optional.
Volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver as part of orientation.
Parking: FISH is located in the brick two-story building behind Wells Fargo. Please plan to park on the east side of the building and enter through the east side door marked “Volunteer and Donation Entrance.”
