Senior Reunion

Dear Fellow Alumni,

Another spring is arriving in New Haven, and the Yale Alumni Association is busy preparing for reunions—which we hope you will attend.

A number of years ago, the alumni association began a tradition of inviting all graduates who have surpassed their sixty-fifth reunion to return to campus every year thereafter. The chance to gather annually, not just at the five-year milestones, has been enthusiastically embraced by our senior alumni and by the younger classes to whom they are an inspiration.

This year marks the beginning of a new way of celebrating your return to campus. In the past, we held a dinner for the senior reunion on a Friday evening. However, we recognize the inconvenience of travelling late in the day, so we are cordially inviting you to a special luncheon in the great hall of Jonathan Edwards College on Saturday, May 25 at noon.

We will attend the luncheon and warmly welcome all alumni for the Classes of 1953 and prior. We hope that this program change will enable more of you to join us. Additionally, it will allow us to spend more time with you and truly celebrate your return to our alma mater.

The common room of Jonathan Edwards will serve as your senior reunion headquarters from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. We will have coffee and tea ready for you in the morning and assist you should you wish to attend some of the faculty lectures at 9 or 10:30 a.m. After our luncheon, you may wish to attend the president’s update in Woolsey Hall at 4:30 p.m., followed by the celebration of Yale singing from 5 to 6 p.m.

The university and Yale Alumni Association—and we—look forward to seeing you in May!

With warmest wishes,

Peter Salovey and Weili Cheng sig
