    • Memorial Service for the Deceased Classmates of the Class of 1990

      Dwight Hall — 67 High Street

      This interfaith service, led by the Rev. Christopher H. Martin TC and Rabbi Ben Lanckton ES, and perhaps other spiritual leaders, will offer a time of silence, music, prayer and reflection in Dwight Chapel. Together we will name and celebrate the lives of classmates who have died. The brief service will be followed by a coffee reception to continue conversation and remembrances.

      From George Washington forward, America’s presidents have occupied center stage in the nation’s public life; and the present moment is no exception. In this reunion session – more an open-ended conversation with alums than a highly structured lecture – Professor Amar will discuss several of the biggest constitutional questions in today’s headlines.

      Professor Amar is a Yale Alumni Association Howard R. Lamar Faculty Award recipient for 2017.

      Dr. Roy S. Herbst '84 B.S., '84 M.S., Chief of Medical Oncology, Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital

      Discovery of the programmed death pathway, a key player in immune evasion by cancer cells, led to new drugs targeting key immune regulators and revolutionized treatment for many cancer types. Still, better understanding of cancer biology and continued identification of predictive markers of sensitivity and resistance remain critical. New concepts and approaches under way at Yale Cancer Center will be discussed with a focus on target validation and drug discovery.

      Marsh Botanical Garden | Room: Garden Tour — 227 Mansfield St.

      Marsh Botanical Garden is eight acres of plantings on Science Hill with six greenhouses for teaching and research. Enjoy a stroll with Associate Director Kunso Kim through the naturalistically designed beds, full of rare plants and plants of historical interest, and explore the glass houses with their special collections of desert plants, carnivorous plants, and edible tropical plants like chocolate, coffee and cinnamon. Please note: This tour is limited to 30 participants.
